How to ship a reel to reel
Please note:
We will not accept an improperly packaged
tape deck from your shipping company,
the shipment will be rejected on our loading dock!
Due care is important to assure this delecate and heavy item arrives
in good condition!
Here is how to properly pack a tape deck,
any less that this due care will result in some type of damage!
We ship alot of equipment and we guarantee damage
if you do not ship following these minimum packing requirements!
Don't rely on just "insurance" to secure your package,
you will be fighting with your shipper for months trying to get
your money. They usually deny all claims as a standard operating procedure!
Please protect
reel table stems &
tape tensioners!
We have found that
packing tape cores
work perfect for the
protection of stems &
tensioners.
Notice the extensive use of
3" stretch wrap. This
protects against debris
from packing materials
getting into the deck.

If it protrudes protect it!
Sheet 1" bubble wrap is your final
protection before it hits the box.
Watch those corners!
DO NOT USE STYROFOAM USE CLOSED CELL FOAM!
the type that bounces back when compressed.
Styrofoam will break apart wnen it sustains a hit,
it is useless at that point!
Do not use peanuts!
Put foam around all 4 sides to secure the deck in the box!
DOUBLE BOXING IS A REQUIREMENT!
NOT AN OPTION
These are also advised!
