12/5/09 12:00 noon!
Paul Stubblebine from "The Tape Project"
held a seminar on
The Tape Project Master Tapes!
12/5/09 It was the first snow this year in Washington DC.
The Room was set for a crowd.
We wondered if anyone would brave the snow and come to the store?
Every seat was taken and some people even stood in the hall!

They showed up in spite of the snow to hear what Paul Stubblebine
had to say about The Tape Project, and hear some great music.
Remember when vinyl was just starting to get some interest
from the main stream audio community?
This tape movement is gaining momentum!
Why?
All you have to do is listen!
UHA is your local Tape Project dealer and we are starting to receiving Series Two tapes at this time.
UHA will have a recording release listening session as we receive the Series Two tapes.
The first will be The Staple Singers.

The Staple Singers: Be Altitude: Respect Yourself
Mavis Staple's gospel power, Pops Staple's mellow voice, the Muscle Shoals Rhythm section laying down the funk groove (with the help of the Memphis Horns and a Moog synthesizer) and Al Bell producing - what more could one ask for? A Stax classic from the peak of the soul era, this 1972 release delivered three top 10 R&B hits, with I'll Take You There shooting to the top of the charts and Respect Yourself holding position number two. Recorded in part at the ex-casket factory at Muscle Shoals studio on an MCI 16 track with overdubs done on a 16 track 3M M56, this album defines the soul of the 70's.

Paul had some great info derived from all his years in the music business.
He also mentioned that some of the Series One tapes are not going to be available for long!
You do not want to miss out on the possibility of owning these great tapes.
Have a look at the offerings and let us know if we can get them for you.
UHA is an authorized The Tape Project dealer, we also have the tapes in the store
so you can listen before you buy.
Here is a link to more info.

Paul opened the floor for questions, and there were literally hours of questions.
Many thanks to Paul for staying long after he thought this seminar would be over!

Paul getting ready to put some music on the new red UHA-HQ Reel to reel deck.
Paul's seminar and his incredible music has started a flood of emails
from the participants about tape, machines, and The Tape Project.
Also lots of interest in MBL too, can you believe that huge sound?
The fact is when you add a front end like tape to a good system
it becomes a great system. Add tape to a great system like the MBL and look out!
It has taken two years to get the UHA-HQ deck to sound this good, the result was worth it.

Many thanks to Paul for traveling all the way from San Francisco
to a snowy Washington DC. It was a fantastic seminar at United Home Audio
with a large and enthusiastic crowd of music lovers.
Many were impressed by all the new selections from The Tape Project Series Two
that Paul brought along on two compilation tapes.
Paul was kind enough to leave those tapes here at UHA so we will
probably be doing some additional listening sessions with those tapes.
Watch your email for more info!
